Firefighters put out a fire at a house in the village of Howell

HOWELL TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (MONMUT). Yesterday, February 3, 2023 at around 8:03 pm, the city of Howell was sent to the scene of a reported building fire in the Halses Corner Road area. Upon the arrival of firefighters, they confirmed the fire and asked to turn on the full combat alarm to send additional equipment to the place. Stations Howell 19-2, 19-5, 19-5, Jackson 54.55 have been added to the mission. The 19-3-77 engine was the first and ran two hose lines, one to the rear of the structure and one to the front door. Howell Tanker 19-3-78 supplied water to the engine, while Jackson Crews from station 55 assisted with structural ventilation. Crews and fire investigators spent about 4 hours at the scene and cleared the scene shortly before 00:00. The Howell Fire Bureau is currently investigating the fire and the cause is currently unknown or unavailable. No casualties were reported as it was confirmed that no one was home at the time of the fire.
