Exclusive – Banks Presses Biden: Reveal Secret Swalwell Report, Fang Fang Intelligence Report
Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), a powerful House conservative who recently chaired the Republican Research Committee (RSC) and is now the presumptive favorite for an open U.S. Senate seat from Indiana, is demanding Democratic President Joe Biden publicly publish a secret report detailing the nature of the relationship between Rep. Eric Swalwell (R-Calif.) and Chinese spy Fang Fang.
In a letter sent to Biden last week and obtained exclusively by Breitbart News, Banks noted that the White House expressed outrage at House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s decision to remove Swalwell from the House Standing Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).
“At a recent press conference, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre disagreed with Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy’s decision to bar Rep. Eric Swalwell from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence,” Banks wrote to Biden. Rep. Jean Pierre said that Rep. Swalwell, along with Rep. Ilhan Omar and Adam Schiff, “bring a lot to the discussion when it comes to foreign policy and national security.” She continued, “He needs to be independent. Swalwell of the right to access the most sensitive information available to a member of Congress and from oversight of our nation’s intelligence services,” Banks wrote. “For reasons unknown, the White House disagrees.”
Banks then cites a summer 2021 Breitbart News report that reveals the existence of a secret report that former intelligence community officials who read it said detailed the nature of Swalwell’s relationship with Fan Fan.

Banks asked the president to declassify and release the report, as Biden has the right to do so as the sitting president of the United States, and then if it shows that the relationship between Swolwell and Fang Fang was harmless, he will support Swalwell’s reinstatement on the Intelligence Committee. . Banks is running for the U.S. Senate seat that Sen. Mike Brown (R-IN) is leaving open in 2024 as Brown pursues the gubernatorial nomination. On Tuesday, former Indiana Gov.
