Evacuation orders, warnings, road closures for Monterey County
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV)- Monterey County has issued flood warnings and orders for different parts of the county.
Warnings: The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office has downgraded the Evacuation Order to a Warning for residents of the Yankee Point Community in Carmel effective immediately until further notice. This includes areas.
Including East of the Pacific Ocean, South of Yankee Beach Way, West of Yankee Point Drive and North of Malpaso Creek Beach.
Road Closures:
Coast Road
Davis Road between Hitchcock Rd. & Reservation Road
Elm Avenue At Salinas River Crossing to Metz Road
Hartnell Road Approximately 400 feet west of Alisal Road, just south of the City of Salinas.
Murphy Road From Highway 129 to San Juan Road
Nacimiento-Fergusson Road Off of Hwy. 1 / Big Sur and on Highway 1 to Fort Hunter Liggett / Mission Road
Palo Colorado Road past the 4-mile marker
River Road between Foothill Road and Camphora Road
Tassajara Road will be closed, at Los Padres National Forest due to hazardous conditions.
Bay View Road closed due to tree down with wires
Cholane Road at the San Luis Obispo County line
Temporary Evacuation Points and Emergency Shelters: Hours of operation Wednesday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Residents should be prepared for extended power outages.
MST will be offering free rides to temporary evacuation shelters and centers during the next storm event.
