DIRECT RADAR: Severe Thunderstorm Reported in Parts of North Texas

The storm system will bring with it a cold front and the possibility of severe or severe storms on Wednesday, including the possibility of hail and tornadoes.

High temperatures will range from the mid to 70s across the region. Spring warmth will be followed by spring storms on Wednesday evening.

Storms initially form to the northwest of DFW and then develop into a broken storm line as they approach Metroplex. Not everyone will see the storms, but those who do may experience severe weather briefly. A serious threat includes the possibility of heavy hail and damaging winds. The threat of tornadoes is small, but it cannot be ruled out.

The Storm Prediction Center has already identified an area that includes most of North Texas at risk.

Cooler temperatures are expected on Thursday due to strong northerly winds. High temperatures by Thursday and Friday will rise only to 40 and 50 degrees.
