Dead fox testing positive for rabies found in Wimberley; Sheriff warns the public

WIMBERLY, Texas – A dead fox with rabies was found in Wimberley, according to the Hayes County Sheriff’s Office.

The HCSO said the fox was found around 9 a.m. Wednesday outside a home on the 500th block of W Summit Dr.

The fox was tested by the NHS Department of Health and found to have the rabies virus.
