“Jan came in, they fixed it, and then Nicole came in and finished. I think they just thought it was too much,” said local resident Jeff.

Jeff said that he used to go to real estate by the sea as a child and he is sad to see her disappear.

“He’s been here since I was a kid, I’ve been hanging out at the pool, going back and forth, but now he’s gone,” he said.

During Hurricane Yang, a mobile phone video showing the wind blowing off the roof of a building that was later deemed unsafe went viral.

On Tuesday, News 6 spoke to the owner of the home, Sandy Cook, by phone.

Cook declined to be interviewed in person and only said that he “has no plans for the future.”

“I wish he could come back, Sage ‘n Sand, and not have a huge monster apartment from Van Avenue to the very end,” Jeff said. “The park would be nice.”
