Dallas Wings Trade Allisha Gray to Atlanta Dream
“I would like to thank Allisha for all she has done for our organization by wearing the Wings uniform,” President and CEO Greg Bibb said in a press release. “Since the day we selected her in 2017, she has been a consummate professional and teammate on and off the court. I wish her and her family all the best for the future.”
Gray played six seasons with Dallas and averaged 11.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game for the Wings. She also won the 2017 Rookie of the Year award.
The Dallas Wings received the third overall pick in the upcoming 2023 WNBA draft from the Atlanta Dream and the 2025 Atlanta first round pick. In return, the Wings sent guard Allisha Gray to the Dream.

Gray’s trade comes after the Wings acquired 3-time WNBA champion Natasha Howard as well as the playing rights to 2020 WNBA Rookie of the Year Crystal Dangerfield in a three-team blockbuster deal earlier this week. In that exchange, concluded on Monday, the Wings sent forward Kayla Thornton to New York and defenseman Ty Harris to Connecticut.
