Dallas police said at least 1 person has been hospitalized after a car accident involving three horses.

DALLAS (CBSNewsTexas.com) – At least one person was hospitalized after a car accident involving three horses early Tuesday morning, officials said.

Both the east and west lanes of Beltway 12 are closed off from Interstate 45 after three people on horseback were hit by a car, according to TxDOT.

Dallas police said the car fled the scene and at least one driver was taken to the hospital. Their condition – and that of the other riders and horses – remains unknown at this time.
