Dallas homegrown players Nolan Norris and Tariq Scott called up to national team

FRISCO, TX (January 6, 2023) – FC Dallas homegrown players Nolan Norris and Tariq Scott have been called up by USA Under-19 Head Coach Marko Mitrovic for an upcoming training camp at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida from January 5-13.

FC Dallas Academy players Henry Canizales Jr. (El Salvador), Malachi Molina (Jamaica), Bryce Outman (USA) and Nairobi Vargas (Honduras) have also been called up by their respective countries for the upcoming January 2023 Olympic training camp. The Concacaf U-17 Championship Tournament takes place in Guatemala from 11 to 26 February.

Nolan, 17, became FC Dallas’ 35th homegrown player on November 16, 2022. He joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2017 at the age of 12 and was part of the Academy U-13 team that won the 2018 Dallas Cup. He also won the 2019 Adidas Campus Bayern Cup. Norris made his professional debut for FC Dallas MLS NEXT Pro affiliate North Texas SC in a 1–0 win over Earthquakes II on April 17, 2022.

Scott, 17, became FC Dallas’ 34th homegrown player on November 15, 2022. He joined the FC Dallas youth system at the age of five in 2011 and then joined the FC Dallas Academy system in 2016. He was the 2021 MLS U-17 Player of the Year. NEXT Cup Golden Boot winner with four goals for the FC Dallas U17 Academy team. Scott made his professional debut on 26 March 2022 with NTSC where he scored his first professional brace in a 3–1 win over MNUFC2. Scott was selected for the 2022 Bayern squad.
