Crazy photos in Yosemite National Park: snow up to the rooftops blocking the doorway

A severe winter storm in Yosemite National Park resulted in significant snowfall – up to 15 feet in some areas.

Photos shared by the park show snow reaching the rooftops in Karri village and blocking the entrance to the men’s room.

“Yosemite experienced significant snowfall across all parts of the park, with snow depths as high as 15 feet in some areas, and the park was closed on Feb. 25,” Yosemite National Park wrote on social media Tuesday.

Twitter and Facebook users reacted to the amazing photos.

“I thought December 2021 was snowy but wow,” wrote one user, while another said, “15 feet? Unreal”.

The agency said park crews are working to restore critical services so that visitors can return safely.

The park has been closed since Saturday and there is currently no estimated opening date.

Storms hit the west coast, resulting in epic snowfall high in the Sierra Nevada, where national park located.

The last blizzard brought 40 inches of snow on the ground, breaking the previous record of 36 inches in 1969. It is reported by the San Francisco Chronicle.
