Cedril Ballou and trendsetters Zydeco
Artist Biography: A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Cedril Ballou began making music at the age of five, and made his drumming debut at age 11 with his grandfather, legendary guitar pioneer Classy Ballou. a frontman was inevitable—both Cedril’s father, Cedric Ballou, and step-grandfather, “Rockin’ Sidney” Simien, were successful touring musicians, and Cedril had grown up with Creole music and culture.

A young but accomplished Zydeco musician and singer, Ballou easily switches from drums to accordion and vocals, leads the Zydeco Trendsetters and tours extensively with regional Zydeco artists including André Thierry, Corey Lede, Rosie Lede, Tap Rideau and Soul Creole.
