Community Help Center Announces 2023 Heritage Dinner

CONROE, TX – The Community Assistance Center (CAC) is inviting the community to a 2023 Heritage Luncheon Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Lake Conroe Margaritaville Resort with a silent auction and mimosas beginning at 10:30 AM.

The Heritage Luncheon is an opportunity for the Community Assistance Center (CAC) to recognize members of the local community who serve as advocates for the CAC and make a significant contribution to helping Montgomery County’s neighbors in need, as well as advancing the programs and services provided by this vital agency. The event will celebrate local leaders, business partners, religious partners, service organizations and the amazing power of volunteers. Legacy Award recipients include Janet Stilwell, Faith Partner of the Year – Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church, Community Partner of the Year – Conroe Noon Lions Club, and Distinguished Service Award (Volunteer of the Year) – Janet Thompson.

The Community Assistance Center (CAC) is pleased to welcome TEDTalk speaker and Aidan Cares founder Aidan Anderson. At the age of seven, Aidan found that one simple choice set him on the path to achieving his goal. Aidan is committed to connecting people to important causes and finding ways to contribute to a better future. His message communicates the necessity and joy of giving to people of all ages. Since 2008, his message has reached millions in over 30 countries, prompting children around the world to start their own philanthropic initiatives. At the age of 22, Aidan plays harmonica, ukulele, guitar, sings and shares his story wherever he can to encourage people to find their passion in philanthropy.

Aidan says: “Love is an action. So we must act and be our brother’s keeper. Whether it’s people, land or animals, we need to find what makes our heart sing.”

As one of two major fundraisers for the Community Assistance Center (CAC), the Legacy Luncheon continues to be an inspiring event dedicated to serving our community and raising funds to support the many programs and services the organization provides.

“Heritage Breakfast is not just a fundraising opportunity, it’s a day of celebration where we are honored to celebrate the dedication and service our partners and volunteers bring to CAC and Montgomery County,” says Jennifer Huffin, President and CEO of The Community help center. “We are grateful for the tremendous support we receive from the community and look forward to honoring our recipients by listening to Aidan Anderson’s inspiring ministry story.”

Special thanks to the Community Help Center’s annual sponsors, including sponsors Changemaker, the Apricity Foundation, and Waste Connections.
