Christian, 15, was placed in a foster home after the family saw a segment of the baby on Wednesday

When the WFAA met Christian last March, he opened up about his painful time in foster care.

DALLAS – As we celebrate the new year, we look forward to the promise of a new beginning and the opportunity to be happy! One of our goals here at WFAA is to find a loving home for foster children who tell us they feel lonely.

And we are ready for a good start in 2023!

When the WFAA met Christian last March, he opened up about his painful time in foster care.

“Four years since 2018. It was hard,” he said in 2022.

Christian spoke softly, but his suffering was loud and clear.

“It makes me feel left out, thrown somewhere and feel like I have no one,” he told WFAA.

Fast forward almost a year and here is some great news about Christian. His caseworker said Christian, who will soon turn 16, was placed in a foster home last August after the couple saw him report on the baby on Wednesday.

His caseworker says everything is going well.

Generally, it takes at least six months after a child is placed in a foster home before CPS can complete the adoption. This means that if all goes well, Christian will be officially adopted next month, in February.

Those of you who have ever adopted a child from a foster family know that it is both an exciting and stressful time. For this reason, Christian’s social worker asks for your prayers for a smooth transition and Christian’s adoption as the ultimate reward. He needs it, and he is in a family that loves him.

Now we just need to bring them to the finish line. Until then, please pray.
