Chris Baker Appointed Chief Strategy Officer of POSaBIT

POSaBIT Systems Corporation, a leading cannabis payment and point-of-sale platform, is proud to appoint Chris Baker to the company’s newly created Chief Strategy Officer position.

Chris is passionate about the power of technology and boasts over 20 years of industry leadership. In previous roles, he led award-winning multidisciplinary teams across 4 continents for global corporate clients. In his role as chief strategy officer for the company, he will lead strategy with the POSaBIT team, collaborating with the business to keep the company ahead in a rapidly changing business environment. His career began at IBM Global Services, where he focused on delivering projects and programs across the technology services stack. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Genius Avenue, an Insuretech/Fintech startup.

In connection with his appointment, the Company has granted 1,000,000 share options (“Options”) to Chris Baker pursuant to the terms of the Company’s share option program (“Plan”). The options may be exercised on the Company’s ordinary shares at an exercise price of CAD 1.10 per share over the next 10 years vesting for 4 years in accordance with the Plan and policies of the Canadian Stock Exchange.
