Child killed in car crash in North Austin

Austin, Texas – A child has died and an adult is in the hospital after a car accident in North Austin.

ATCEMS reported the derailment at the 900 block of N. Meadows Drive shortly before 4:30 pm on February 4, stating that a child was declared dead at the scene.

An adult was declared injured and transported to Dell Seton with serious injuries. ATCEMS reports that both the child and the adult were pedestrians.

The area may be closed off while Austin police investigate the accident, according to ATCEMS.
