Burglary Suspect Arrested in Colleyville Thanks to Citizens’ Vigilance

COLLYVILLE (CBSNewsTexas.com) “A dramatic scene played out in Colleyville this morning when reports of a man’s suspicious behavior prompted a search involving multiple police departments.

Colleyville police said that on the morning of February 25, several people called 911 to report a suspicious person. Callers told police that the man may have peered into cars and jumped over fences into backyards.

Police noted that the man matched the description of an unknown theft suspect from another area and began searching for him. Several nearby departments joined the work. A K9 unit and several drones were also involved.

By 12:10 law enforcement officers managed to find the man and detain him. They plan to release more details.
