Bull named “Snoop Dogg” won a grand championship at the stock show and rodeo in Fort Worth and broke the record at auction

The cow belonged to 15-year-old Sadie Wempler of Randall County 4-H.

FORT WORTH, Texas. The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo have named this year’s top champion bull, a black European cross named “Snoop Dogg.”

This bull belonged to 15-year-old Sadie Wempler from Randall County 4-H in Texas.

“Snoop Dogg” was a heavyweight and weighed 1343 pounds. He was selected as the winner from nearly 1,500 contestants.

Having won the prize, the great champion bull went to auction at the Champions Sale on Saturday, where the buyer, Higginbotham, offered $440,000 for the right to own the champion bull.

This broke the previous record of last year’s Grand Champion “Steve” who was sold for $310,000.

All proceeds from the sale will go to Wampler.

Saturday, auction day, is also the last day of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo this year.
