Bucks’ Brady fined over $16,000 for illegal tackle during Cowboys playoff loss

The NFL reports that Tom Brady was fined a hefty fine for attempting to trip a Dallas player on Monday night.

TAMPA, Florida. Tom Brady, also known as GOAT, has won seven Super Bowl championships and led Tampa Bay to the NFC Southern Division title in the last two seasons, but those statistics don’t place him above NFL rules.

The league fined Brady a hefty $16,444 fine for his “unnecessary rudeness” after he attempted to confuse Dallas defenseman Malik Hooker during the third quarter of the Bucks’ playoff loss on Monday night, according to NFL website.

According to CBS Sports, Brady received a $46,500 salary for participating in the wild-card round, but with a fine, he will have to give up about 35% of that money.

A fumble on wide receiver Chris Godwin in the third quarter resulted in a penalty for Brady. Hooker returned the ball to the Cowboys, and GOAT attempted to blow off Dallas’ fuse while he was returning it.

The fumble was ruled out as the refereeing team agreed that Godwin had lost before the ball was out of his hands, but Brady’s penalty still stood.

The NFL also said Tampa Bay center Ryan Jensen, who qualified for a playoff game for the first time this season after tearing the MCL during preseason, was fined $8,333.33 for “unnecessary rudeness” in that season. same game against the Cowboys.

This is the third time Brady has been penalized in his career, including a week five penalty for trying to hit Atlanta pass rusher Grady Jarrett.

The future of the seven-time Super Bowl winner is in doubt as he has yet to announce whether he will stay with Tampa Bay for another season, retire or sign with another team. Should he decide to continue his unparalleled career with another team, the player who turns 46 next season in training camp will generate a lot of interest.
