Buc-ee ranked second in the ranking of the best gas station chains | Who is #1?

The Texas-based chain ranked first in customer service, beating out Costco and Wawa.

HOUSTON. More Americans are discovering what most Texans already know: Buc-ee’s is one of the best gas station chains in the country. This Texas-based gas station was the second-best-loved gas station in the US, according to a survey released in early January.

Payless Power surveyed over a thousand Americans about their favorite gas station chains and found that Buc-ee was second only to Costco. Sam’s Club, Wawa and Sheetz rounded out the top five.

According to the polls, Buc-ee ranks first or close to it in several categories:

#3 for cleanliness
#3 in price
No. 2 in food quality
No. 1 in the ranking of the best

Buc-ee’s and Costco were the only two chains to make the top five in all four categories.

How far are drivers willing to go?

Buc-ee’s is never too far from customers, according to the survey, and travelers are willing to spend an average of 21 minutes to get to a location, the longest among the chains included in the ranking. Shell showed the lowest average travel time – 14 minutes.

How much do customers spend at Buc-ee’s?

Stopping at a gas station is more than just filling up a tank, according to the survey. Many clients like to take their time. Buc-ee customers said they spend an average of $58.03 per visit. It ranked fifth among networks, with Wawa topping the list where customers spend an average of $84.46 per visit.

Overall, according to the survey, customers spent an average of 20 minutes and spent $69.95 per visit to their favorite gas station.

Where is the biggest Buc-ee’s?

A new 75,000-square-foot visitor center is being built in Luling, just two hours west of Houston.

The new location is slightly larger than Buc-ee’s in Crossville, Tennessee, which opened in early 2022.

The new visitor center will replace the existing one at I-10 built in 2003.
