Brittany Aldean Takes Stand Against Balenciaga After Controversial Photoshoot

Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean, called out Balenciaga after the company’s recent photoshoot controversy.

Brittany Aldean took to her Instagram and posted a photo of her throwing out Balenciaga items. She captioned the photo, “It’s trash day” and tagged the fashion brand.

This came after Balenciaga posted a photo from its spring ‘23 campaign of two children holding teddy bears dressed in bondage and also added court documents that had “virtual child porn” in it.

After receiving backlash, the fashion brand issued an apology on its Instagram story writing, “We sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused. Our plush bear bags should not have been featured with children in this campaign. We have immediately removed the campaign from all platforms.”

Brittany Aldean has spoken up for children in the past.

In a video she posted on Aug. 23, she is seen showing her makeup transformation and captioned the video, “I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life.”

The video received backlash from singers such as Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris who called out Brittany Aldean on Twitter for her comment.

“You’d think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging. But instead here we are, hearing someone compare their “tomboy phase” to someone wanting to transition. Real nice,” Pope wrote.

Morris responded to Pope’s Twitter post, calling Brittany Aldean “Insurrection Barbie.”

“It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human. Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie,” she added.

In an interview with Fox News in September, Brittany Aldean spoke on “advocating for children.”

“I’m advocating for children. I think that children should not be allowed to make these life-changing decisions at such a young age. They are not mature enough. They should have parents who love them and advocate for them regardless,” she said.
