Border Patrol drops hundreds of migrants at San Diego County Transit Centers

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The border crisis is getting worse by the day, and United States Border Patrol is running out of options.

This week, hundreds of migrants were dropped off at transit centers in San Diego County, without any notice.

Supervisor Jim Desmond has been the leading voice bringing awareness to the issue, as he appeared on national news shows detailing how our immigration system is completely broken.

KUSI’s Rafer Weigel broke down the situation as he saw the situation unfold first-hand.

An update on the migrants in San Diego County

We are expecting 235 more to be dropped at transit stations today. That will run the total of 1,071 people who have been dropped off in the past 4 days.

Our system is strained and this is simply unsustainable.

In light of what we are seeing in San Diego County over the past week, I’m glad to see the Supreme Court has kept Title 42 for now.
