Body found in Grande Prairie could be linked to missing McKinney woman

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX (CBSDFW.COM) – A body was found Wednesday night in Grande Prairie that could be linked to missing McKinney woman Kayla Kelly.

Sources say authorities intercepted the mobile phone signals of the suspect, a 32-year-old man. Ocastor Fergusonto the area where the body was found.

The body was found near Kingswood Boulevard and Prairie Oak Boulevard, less than a mile from Ferguson’s home. Ferguson reportedly lived at the residence with his wife.

The news comes hours after we learned that Ferguson, according to his arrest report, lied to Kelly about his name and marital status when they met online.

The report states that Kelly found out after they started dating that he was married and told him she was going to tell his wife about it.

Kelly, 33 missing friends January 11, after she had not been seen for several days. Her car was then found burnt out in a remote part of Frisco.

Ferguson’s car was searched and found to contain duct tape, gloves and a blanket. Based on this, he was charged with kidnapping.

The police have not confirmed whether the found body belongs to Kelly – if so, this charge could be upgraded to the death penalty.
