Bodies found in an apartment building belong to three Michigan rappers who have been missing for almost two weeks.

Three remains discovered Thursday in the Detroit area are believed to be those of three rappers who have been missing for about two weeks, according to a Highland Park city spokesman.

The remains were found there, about 6 miles northwest of Detroit, according to Lakisha Brown, a spokesman for Highland Park.

The identities of the bodies have not been officially confirmed by the Michigan State Police, who are investigating. According to reports on Thursday evening, the victims were found in an abandoned apartment building in Highland Park.

According to tweets from Michigan State Police’s Second District authorities, neither the names of the people inside nor the manner of their death have been established at this time. “Please be aware that every victim has a family and that we don’t have the luxury of speculating on their identities and then refusing if we’re unfaithful. We will update (on Twitter) as soon as the information is verified.

According to the state police, the investigation team at the facility included members of their homicide task force, military personnel, and employees of the forensic laboratory.

State police said on Thursday evening that forensic experts from the lab entered the building and began collecting evidence. “The building is in a very bad condition, there are rats inside, which slows down progress.”

On January 21, three of the band – Armani Kelly, 28, Dante Wicker, 31, and Montoya Givens, 31 – were scheduled to perform at a club in Detroit, but officials said the event was postponed. According to investigators, they stopped using mobile phones early in the morning on January 22.

A vehicle linked to at least one of the three perpetrators was discovered on January 23 in Warren, a community just a few miles from Highland Park, according to Detroit police.
