Biden says classified documents were safe at his home, but look what happened there while he was vice president

Feeling in control and being in control are two different things. Does Joe Biden know this? Does he know that the security system in his private home was disabled by the Secret Service because it didn’t work? What does Joe Biden know?

On Wednesday, it was announced that another batch of classified documents had been found at Biden’s Delaware residence. Fox News correspondent Peter Doucey asked about the documents found in Biden’s garage at Thursday’s press conference: “X-Files next to your Corvette? What were you thinking?”

Biden’s response? “My Corvette is in a locked garage, okay? So they don’t sit on the street.”

Ugh! I feel much better. Is not it?

For a second I thought that the secret documents of the United States of America were either casually tossed away like an old school yearbook or hidden away like in a covert spy operation.

My paranoid imagination went so far as to identify bundles of misplaced documents as evidence that Old Joe was indeed the Manchurian Candidate.

In all likelihood, there is nothing so heinous about this, but this remains to be seen. However, in a sense, this is not the main thing.

The fact is that Biden’s house is – judging by the past – not safe.

The home security system has a long track record of problems and false positives, according to The Washington Post.

In 2014, the security system at then-Vice President Biden’s private residence in Delaware failed to the point that the Secret Service decided to shut it down for several months. Agents were warned that the system would be shut down “indefinitely.”

In 2015, surveillance cameras at Biden’s Delaware private residence failed to capture a gunman shooting near the home in January. This left authorities with no leads or suspects, government officials with knowledge of the home’s security told The Post at the time.

The cameras weren’t even aimed at the main road, where agents and neighbors heard the car drive away after four to six shots were fired.

Did Biden forget about the faulty security system in his house when he told Doucy that the classified documents were at least not on the street? Or was it just another infamous Biden gaffe? Maybe it was a form of gallows humor?

With Biden it is already difficult to say something. And that doesn’t bode well. Biden likes to “feel” he’s in control. When it comes to classified documents, he’s clearly not like that.

What other Biden feelings do not match reality?

This question should make everyone – except politics – at least wary.
