Biden Claims ‘MAGA Republicans’ Are Trying to ‘Suppress the Right of Voters’ Before the Election

President Joe Biden is warning Americans that so-called “MAGA Republicans” are trying to “suppress the right of the voters” even before the election is over.

In a speech on Wednesday night, the president delivered another warning about candidates on the ballot who have not committed to accepting election results.

“I’m not the only one who sees it. Recent polls have shown that an overwhelming majority of Americans believe our democracy is at risk, that our democracy is under threat,” Biden said.

He continued, “They too see that democracy is on the ballot this year. And they’re deeply concerned about it.”

Biden Claims ‘MAGA Republicans’ Are Trying to ‘Suppress the Right of Voters’ Before the Election

In a September speech, Biden claimed, “Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”

He also said “MAGA Republicans” do not “respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of the law. They do not recognize the will of the people. They refuse to accept the results of a free election.”

And on Wednesday, the president insisted those same forces are already trying to “suppress the right of voters and subvert the electoral system itself.”

“That means denying your right to vote and deciding whether your vote even counts,” Biden continued.

He added, “Instead of waiting until an election is over, they’re starting well before it. They’re starting now. They’ve emboldened violence and intimidation of voters and election officials.”
