BCSO Investigating Discovery of Body in Eastern Bexar County
A body was discovered on a property in the eastern part of Bexar County, Texas, prompting an investigation by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. The landowner stumbled upon the gruesome find while conducting a routine check on his property located on East Farm to Market Road 1518 South in Saint Hedwig. Initially mistaking it for a pile of trash, the landowner soon realized that he had stumbled upon a decomposing body and promptly alerted the authorities.
According to Sheriff Javier Salazar, first responders, upon arriving at the scene, determined that the victim was likely a homeless individual known to frequent the area. At this time, Sheriff Salazar does not suspect foul play. However, to ascertain the cause of death, a comprehensive autopsy will be conducted by the medical examiner. Initial assessments suggest that the death may have been due to exposure to extreme heat or a medical episode. The victim’s identity remains unknown.
