Jennifer Lopez says goodbye to ‘rare’ Bel Air home after marrying Ben Affleck
Six months after Jennifer Lopez said “Yes” to Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez is saying goodbye to her six-year-old home in Bel Air, California.
Lopez, 53, purchased the extravagant nine-bedroom, 13-bath French-style villa in 2016 for $28 million. She is now up for sale at a price of $42.5 million, her brokerage told The Post.
The Wall Street Journal first reported on the listing.
Lopez, long known as a seasoned real estate investor, had already closed the deal at the time of the purchase. At the time, the house was listed for sale for $40 million.
Described as a “rare and extraordinary estate” near the Bel-Air Hotel, this home features a living room with a fireplace, high ceilings, a breakfast bar with a sink, and steel windows and doors leading out to stone terraces.
The formal dining room and chef’s kitchen with built-in breakfast area feature a stone fireplace.
There is also a family room and games room with a bar that opens onto a terrace overlooking the three-sided infinity pool.
All rooms open onto terraces. In the hall of the lower level there is a cinema hall with 30 seats.
On the second floor there is an office / office, a massage room and a guest room. The main wing of the suite includes a library and living room, a fireplace and double dressing rooms that open onto a spacious terrace.
There is an additional guest house, studio, gym, amphitheater with 100 seats and an organic vegetable garden. In addition, there is an entertainment pavilion with a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor shower.
It comes complete with a private lake and sandy beach.
Brett Lawyer of Carolwood Estates owns the listing.
