Armed and dangerous man wanted for beating a man with brass knuckles and pulling a gun in Marina

MARINA, California. (KION-TV) — Marina police are looking for an armed and dangerous Prunedale man who attacked a local business employee on Jan. 20 without provocation.

Marina police said they responded around 9:38 am in the 32000 block of Dune Drive. They learned that the suspect approached an employee of the enterprise and punched him in the stomach.

The suspect, later identified as Miguel Ramirez Barajas Jr., a 38-year-old man from Prunedale, was identified as a suspect. Ramirez Barajas Jr. allegedly continued to beat his victim after he put on brass knuckles and hit her twice in the face.

He then pulled a metal pole out of the ground and hit his victim in the legs, police said. After the attack, he pulled a gun from his belt and began manipulating the bolt in front of the victim before running away.

Police said the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

Miguel Ramirez Barajas Jr. is a wanted man and was last seen driving a dark 2007 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck with California license plate 73125N1. He is considered armed and dangerous because he attacked an employee without provocation.

Miguel Ramirez Barajas Jr. is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon, as well as possession of a firearm and brandishing a firearm, Marina police said.
