Anderson police are looking for a man they say tried to rob a bank

Anderson police are trying to find a man they say tried to rob a U.S. bank at 2750 Childress Drive on Friday.

The Anderson Police Department says a man wearing what appeared to be a medical mask entered the bank before 5:04 p.m. He gave a bank worker a note asking for money, but police say he left the bank after he “failed.”

The bank official said he was white, between the ages of 25 and 35, about 6 feet tall and with long brown hair. He was wearing jeans and a long-sleeved gray shirt.

The tweet below confirms the news:

Police said they searched the entire area but could not find the man the bank worker had told them about.

They post photos from the bank’s security cameras on social networks and ask people to help them figure out who he is.

Anyone with knowledge of the man was asked to send an email to [email protected]. In the subject line of the email, write “case number 23A002396”.
