An inside look at James Dolan’s Raya dating app profile: ‘Not what you’ve read in the press’

James Dolan, the billionaire owner of Madison Square Garden and the New York Knicks, is hitting back at the media on his dating app profile — even as he hopes to win the game of love.

In a screenshot of his profile on the Raya-exclusive app, the Madison Square Garden boss made it clear he’s opening his heart to a potential partner who’s willing to shrug off his rough public image.

“I’m not what you read in the press,” Dolan wrote on his Raya profile, a screenshot of which was posted to Instagram over the weekend.

“This guy doesn’t exist.”

A now-deleted screenshot posted by Instagram user “westvillagetruther” shows a photograph of Dolan wearing a fedora, listing his name as “James” and his age as 67, followed by “sports and entertainment, technology, New York, Las Vegas”. Vegas, Los Angeles.

His username is @itsjd0511″, a number that clearly refers to his birthday on May 11th.

“I never do anything halfway,” Dolan writes, going on to describe himself as “self-aware but not self-absorbed” and “older than you, but not in my mindset.”

While Page Six reported in 2018 that Dolan had separated from his wife Kristin after 15 years of marriage, they still have a business relationship. Last month, he named her CEO of AMC Networks, where he is chairman.

“Sober in many ways,” Dolan wrote. “No more kids, but I love who I have.”

Dolan added that he’s “still hard at work and excited about what I’m building,” a possible reference to MSG Sphere, an overbudget $2.2 billion concert and entertainment venue he’s building in Las Vegas.

“I have room for a partner in crime, but I’ll be fine if it doesn’t,” Dolan wrote. “I can make you laugh. I hope you can do the same.”

“I’ll beat you at backgammon and wordle,” the tycoon concluded. “Let’s Play!”

Dolan’s spokeswoman declined to comment on Wednesday.

Dolan told The Post last month that he had been on Rye for about 18 months and was looking for “the same thing everyone else is looking for.”

“I actually made some good friends. Not all of them turned out to be romantic, but I met some very nice people,” Dolan said of his dates and private messages. – And this is a plus.

Dolan added that he was on “three or four” dates at the time, and says he enjoys taking the women he meets for coffee or dinner at intimate downtown venues like Lucien or Emilio’s Ballato, where homemade Veal Parmesan is $57.

“He wrote me a lot about Raya,” said Jessica Sound, 41, a former American Ballet Theater dancer who didn’t seem to understand who Dolan was.

She called Dolan, who moonlights as the frontman for the blues band JD and the Straight Shot, a “musician.”
