A TCSO employee has died in a rollover in Arlington, officials say.

Witnesses told police that the SUV was driving in the left lane when it swerved into another lane heading south, went off the road and crashed into a metal sign.

ARLINGTON, Texas. The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department mourns one of its officers after one of his deputies was killed in a car rollover early Friday morning.

Shortly before 7:10 a.m., the Arlington Police Department said officers had responded to a report of an accident on the south lanes of Highway 287 near Little Road.

Witnesses told police that the Subaru Outback was driving in the left lane when it swerved into another southbound lane, ran off the road, hit a metal sign, causing it to roll.

The 34-year-old Outback driver, who was identified by TCSO as Tarrant County Jail Corporal Aron Iceman, was trapped inside his vehicle and had to be pulled out by Arlington firefighters.

Iseman was taken to a local hospital, where it was later announced that he had died from his injuries.

TCSO reported that before the accident, Iseman was returning home from work. He has been with the sheriff’s office since 2018.

The Arlington Police Department said it was not clear why Iseman’s car ran off the road and will continue to investigate the cause of the accident.

“The Arlington Police Department extends its sincere condolences to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office and the officer’s family and friends,” the department said in a press release Friday.

The White Settlement Police Department also paid tribute to Iseman by learning of his death.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to @tarrantcountyso, the friends and family of Corporal Iseman,” the tweet read.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine Iseman’s cause of death.
