A taco store is robbed 5 days after another suspect was shot dead by a customer, police say.

HOUSTON – A taco shop in southwest Houston that was at the center of a massive crime scene on Thursday is back in the spotlight.

The owner of Ranchito #4 Taqueria, located in the 6900 block of South Gessner Road, said he was robbed Tuesday morning.

Pedro Lopez, the owner of the restaurant, says he just wants to take a break.

Lopez said the thief made off with approximately $100 from the cash register and an undisclosed amount of money from slot machines located inside.

The incident came just five days after the death scene took place while visitors were dining inside.

On Thursday, police said a masked man with what appeared to be a “plastic gun” pointed it at customers who were eating and demanded their wallets and money. As the burglar walked past a man sitting in one of the booths, video footage showed him getting up from his seat, pulling out a gun, and shooting the burglar nine times.

Now Lopez, who says he just wants to run his business, is going through another nasty incident. Authorities said no arrests were made in the latest incident.
