A man was shot dead outside a Midtown grocery store on West 18th Street.

RIVIERA BEACH, Florida. The man was shot and killed Saturday afternoon outside a convenience store on Riviera Beach.

Riviera Beach police spokeswoman Brittany Collins said officers were called to the shooting shortly after 3:30 p.m. outside a Midtown grocery store on the 100th block of West 18th Street.

When officers arrived, they found a 49-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where he later died.

Collins said the victim’s family requested that the man’s identity not be released in accordance with Marcy’s law.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
