Marquinn West, Cuamon White and Cameron Taylor are also charged with murder.

This happened on the morning of August 15, 2022 after a minor traffic accident near South University Drive and the Interstate 30 westbound entrance in Fort Worth.

According to the arrest warrant, Sheen was driving a Jeep Cherokee. It ran a red light and crashed into the bumper of a silver Honda Elantra carrying three women.

Two drivers opened the doors to check for damage. The three women got out of the Elantra and approached Shin’s jeep. The affidavit states that the women chased Sheen through the car door.

Several more people arrived in other cars to support the three women.

Surveillance video from the area showed that as Shin stood near his jeep, the confrontation escalated into a fight. West hit him in the face and another man punched him in the back of the head.

Shin stepped back from the fight and pulled out a pistol from the passenger side of his jeep. Around the same time, West returned to his car and took his own weapon, according to West’s arrest affidavit.

By this point, someone in the group had taken Shin’s keys and blocked him from accessing the jeep.

Sheen was trying to get to his car, and that’s when, according to the sworn statement, West fired several shots.

“Sheen retreated before the accident to the passenger side of the cars. Markinn pursued him, also moving towards the passenger side of the cars, but behind the crash. Walking around the cars, he raised both hands and held out his hand. gun towards the tire. He again fired several shots,” the arrest warrant statement said.

Shin tried to run away, but fell and died.
