Rebecca Bloom, who was flying from Newark to Orlando, told abc7ny.com that she felt a “thump” and heard a noise.

The pilot then turned on the overhead speaker and calmly said, “Obviously our wing has been clipped.”

The FAA said the left wing of a Boeing 757-200 was hit by a Boeing 787 that was being towed.

The Port Authority of New York and the New Jersey Aviation Fire and Rescue Team responded, as they do to all aviation emergencies at Port Authority airports, officials said.

A federal agency is investigating the collision.
