Police said this week a 15-year-old boy was repeatedly shot, beaten and even shot during a targeted assault on a Bronx street.
The teen was standing on the corner of Morris Avenue and East 174th Street in Mount Hope shortly before 5:00 pm on Monday when a group of six men or boys began beating him, police said.
According to authorities, one of the attackers stabbed the teenager several times in the torso.
The second suspect pulled out a gun and fired at the teenager, but missed, police said.
The victim was taken to Lincoln Medical Center with torso injuries. His condition was assessed as stable.
The police say he was the target of the attack, but have no information about the motive or whether the victim exchanged words with the suspects.
Late Wednesday night, the NYPD released photos of three suspects who appear to be teenagers.
No arrests were made.
