Thousands of PG&E customers in the Bay Area started the weekend in the dark.
The company said it was due to storms on Thursday and Friday. If customers are affected, they may qualify for the Safety Net program.
This is the merit of those who lost electricity for more than 48 hours. PG&E will automatically apply the loan within the next two or three months. Customers could get anywhere from $25 to $100 depending on how long the crash lasted.
