Dallas Weather: Gov. Greg Abbott Holds Press Conference on State Response to Severe Winter Weather

Austin, Texas – Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and other state officials will hold a briefing Tuesday morning on how the state is responding to severe winter weather across the state.
Abbott is expected to hold a briefing at 10:30 a.m. at the State Operations Center in Austin.
Winter Storm Warning for North Texas Extended to Thursday
On Monday, the Governor raised the readiness level of the State Operations Center to Level II.
Several state bodies were also mobilized.
It is likely that there will be an update on the state’s power grid at the press conference.
The Texas Power Reliability Board, the state’s power grid operator, said there is enough electricity to meet demand as icy conditions and freezing temperatures hit parts of the state.

ERCOT predicts that the highest demand for energy will be around 19:00 on Tuesday.
