Highway 1 closed in Carmel-by-the-Sea after trees fell on power lines.

Carmel-by-the-Sea, California (KION-TV) — Highway 1 along Carpenter Street is closed after trees and wires fell into the north and south lanes early Tuesday morning.
The CHP plant said there is no estimated time to open yet, but crews are trying to remove trees and wires from the road.
People are asked to avoid the area for now. Traffic is diverted from Carpenter Street and Flanders Drive.
