Four more people were injured when they fled the scene in a park near Avenue M and 13th Street, the agency said in a Facebook post.

AND Show of cars and motorcycles “Streets on lock” was scheduled in the park from 14:00 to 17:00. The shooting happened after the end of the event.

St. Lucie County Deputy Chief Brian Hester describes “mass chaos” after the Fort Pierce Park shooting.

“People were hiding behind cars, hiding everything they could hide behind,” Hester said. “It was quite difficult to tell who was the victim and who was just hiding at that moment.”

Hester said MPs treated several people in the park while other visitors took them to a nearby hospital.

He said that there were no suspects, although the deputies were investigating several leads and information from witnesses.

The calendar says security is handled by the sheriff’s office.
