8-month-old baby found safe in Florida, ending Amber Alert

An 8-month-old baby at the center of an Amber Alert in Florida has been located unharmed, as confirmed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

The alert was initially issued on Wednesday morning for the infant, Amelia Martinez, who was reported missing from Davie. She was last seen in the 4900 block of SW 148 Avenue, described as 1 foot tall and weighing 35 pounds with brown hair and eyes.

Authorities suspected that Amelia may have been in the company of Arys Martinez, a 34-year-old woman from Davie. Arys was described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

According to the FDLE, there were concerns that the woman and child were headed towards the Orlando area in a white 2021 Toyota Camry with the Florida license plate AZ8-9FY.

The swift resolution of this case brings relief to the community and underscores the importance of prompt and coordinated law enforcement efforts in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals involved in such incidents.
