5 Things to Know About How Dallas Police’s 52,000 Untagged Files Could Affect Cases

Last week, the Dallas Police Assistant Chief warned his majors and deputy chiefs that the department could be in violation of state law transfer of evidence in criminal cases.

Some 52,000 digital files, such as footage from body cameras and video from interview rooms, have not been classified and are therefore stored incorrectly, chief Eddie Garcia confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.
