2-year-old hospitalized after Dallas shooting

DALLAS – Dallas police are investigating after a two-year-old was shot and killed in downtown Oak Cliff Saturday night.

The officers were called to the 1700 block of Newport Avenue shortly before 8:00 pm.

When the police arrived, they found that the child had already been taken to the hospital.

The child’s condition was stable upon arrival at the hospital, police said.

No other details about the shooting have been released. Police did not say how old the child was or what led to the shooting.

So far, no arrests have been made.
