1 dead, 8 displaced in Dublin house fire

A house fire in Dublin on Monday afternoon left one person dead and eight homeless, firefighters said.

The incident was reported to Mayan Court around 4:30 p.m., city officials said.

One person died and four adults and four children were displaced, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is unknown, firefighters said.

@AlamedaCoFire @DublinCAPpolice are still on stage in Dublin in a house on Maya Court that was completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters managed to keep the fire from spreading to neighboring houses. Please avoid the area near Canterbury Lane.
