Woman robbed at gunpoint in her West Houston garage | CCTV

This is the second time a similar incident has been caught on camera in the Houston area, where the victim was attacked in his garage.

HOUSTON. Video footage of the incident showed a 72-year-old woman screaming as a gunman pointed a gun at her during a robbery in her garage in February.

OUR Houston Police Department Robbery Division asks for help in identifying the perpetrator. This is the second time such an incident has been caught on camera in the Houston area.

It happened on Saturday, February 11, shortly before 3:00 pm at a house in Briar Forest, east of the 8 Western Beltway, west of Houston.

Police said the victim had just opened her garage door and was putting something into her truck when the shooter approached her. The man pointed a gun at her and asked for the car keys.

That’s when the woman started screaming. Her 75-year-old husband left the house to check on her. Police said that was when the shooter drew attention to him, even pointing a gun at him.

Police said the perpetrator followed her husband into the house, took the keys to a four-door BMW sedan and drove away.

According to police, the stolen BMW was found the next day on a street near an apartment complex in Rampart, southeast Houston.

The description of the thief was vague, but police said he was wearing black clothing and a dark-colored balaclava.

In a separate incident in late January, another victim was killed in his garage at a home near West Holcomb and Buffalo Speedway.

The militants involved remain on the run.
