Woman found dead in bin on Staten Island is ID’d; NYC man busted in case

The woman found dead in a bin left on a Staten Island driveway last week was identified Monday by cops, who added that an accomplice of the man who allegedly dumped her body has been arrested.

The body of Lahuma Payton, 26, was found wrapped in a blanket and stuffed inside the “large bin” outside a home on Heberton Avenue near Anderson Avenue in Port Richmond around 5:45 a.m. Friday, the NYPD said.

Glen Brancato, 56 --who lives at the home on Heberton Avenue near Anderson Avenue in Port Richmond -- was allegedly with the man who dumped Payton's body.

EMS responded and declared her dead at the scene, police said.

A day later, Glen Brancato, 56 – who lives at the home – was charged with concealment of a human corpse, obstructing governmental administration and criminal tampering, cops said.

Video reviewed by investigators shows Brancato walking with another male, who is shown bringing out a container holding the body with a blanket on top, police said.

That man is still being sought, authorities said.

Brancato was nabbed because he was with the man suspected of leaving the remains in the driveway, cops said.

Police sources initially said the woman is believed to have died from a drug overdose, but cops could not confirm that Monday morning.

The cause of death remains under investigation by the city Medical Examiner’s Office.
