Wisconsin wind turbine blades fall to the ground in a field in Dodge County.

A company operating a wind farm in southern Wisconsin is investigating what caused part of a wind turbine and its blades to fall to the ground, scattering debris in the field.

No one was injured Wednesday evening when the blades and top of a wind turbine collapsed in Dodge County, near the town of Herman.

The turbine, which is part of the Butler Ridge Wind Farm, is about 400 feet above the ground, according to the National Weather Service.
