William Floyd Business School Students Distinguished at FBLA Regional Competition

The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) William Floyd High School, led by NYS FBLA Advisor, Business Educator and Trustee Christine Purik, delivered another amazing performance at the FBLA District Competition recently held at Hofstra University! William Floyd students have placed in the top five 13 times and qualified in 11 categories for the NYS FBLA Leadership Conference this April in Rochester, NY.

In addition, a four-student team consisting of Kay Roberts, Joshua Lugo, Jason Alexopoulos, and Aracely Giminasel won first place in the state in a highly competitive parliamentary procedural event, which is a direct team event at the state level; now they will fight for a place in the national championships.

Mikayla Zeldin, President of William Floyd FBLA High School and Vice President of NYS District 1S, is also eligible to campaign for New York State Historian after passing numerous qualifying tests and exams.

Congratulations to all students and Mrs. Purik! Good luck at the state leaders’ conference in April.
