Wildfire shut down westbound lanes on the Toledo Blade.

CHARLOTT COUNTY, Florida. Charlotte County Public Safety responded to the wildfire at the Toledo Blade.

The fire broke out between US 41 and El Jobean Road. No houses are in danger, but the Toledo Blade is blocking the westbound lane.

Authorities say no one was hurt and about five acres were burned. Brigades are still working in hot spots.

Charlotte County Public Safety wants to remind residents to be careful with open flames as we head into the dry season.
