Wegmans Food Market is hiring more than 300 part-time employees for its new Astor Place store in lower Manhattan, scheduled to open in fall 2023.

The 82,000-square-foot store will open on the lower floors of 770 Broadway at the corner of Astor Place and Lafayette Street.

While the retail portion of Wegmans Astor Place is set to open later this year, Omakase, which will open at the same location, will debut in spring 2024.

WHAT DISCOVERIES ARE AVAILABLE?

Online applications for a variety of part-time jobs, from culinary positions to customer service representatives, including night shifts for warehousing and food production, are currently being accepted online.

In addition, full-time job applications began last fall and are ongoing for certain positions, including shift supervisors, catering managers and cooks. Recruitment of cashiers will begin in July.
